This is another test product to evaluate the use of a CUSTOM FIELD with the Yoast Video SEO plugin for recognizing a non-VOD video embedded in a Woocommerce Product page. See main product description below for details.
Opened the first test product, TRAVEL LIFT, that contained a non-VOD video and created the custom field, wpseo_video_url.
Copied that product page as a new draft and saved it as MARINA GALE.
Entered a new non-VOD video URL into the WPSEO VIDEO CUSTOM FIELD for pickup by the SEO.
Added a Vimeography Gallery with the video in the PRODUCT SHORT DESCRIPTION BLOCK (as I usually do with actual products) for users to watch.
Reindexed the site with VIDEO SEO PLUGIN
Updated VIDEO XML shows new video from CUSTOM FIELD… https://thesailingchannel.tv/video-sitemap.xml
Once Yoast SEO VIDEO PLUGIN starts recognizing private videos, like Vimeo VODs, then the CUSTOM FIELD configuration will work to index our VODs.
