We offer engaging sailing videos about the cruising lifestyle produced by Sailor/Producers who have a knack for storytelling, an eye for imagery, and the ability to teach the sailing skills they have mastered while voyaging thousands of ocean miles. You can view a free video preview of each program.
Our Sailor/Producers have worked hard to create these videos. Income they receive contributes to their cruising kitty, which enables them to make more videos. We ask you to honor their work by purchasing your own copy and asking your friends to do the same.
Terms & Conditions
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, let us know. We will work with you to make it right of provide a refund. If you lose your file and want a replacement, contact us with the title and email address you used to make your purchase and we will replace it.

Vimeo On Demand Rental/Purchase
Our video product pages link to our SailFlix Vimeo On Demand Library. Clicking a purchase button gives you the option to rent or buy the video and immediately stream it online. If you are not already a Vimeo member, you’ll need to join Vimeo — it’s free and membership  gives you access to the latest streaming and download technologies.
With Vimeo, you can watch on all screens: computer, SmartPhone, tablet, and SmartTV through Vimeo Apps. See Vimeo Everywhere for supported devices. If you buy a video, you can download a copy for offline viewing and enjoy unlimited online streaming as well. So this is a great way to build your sailing video library in the cloud while having access to local offline copies. With the cost of large-size USB flash (thumb) drives plummeting, you can carry around dozens of long form videos in your pocket.
TSCÂ Shopping Cart
If you prefer, you can sign up for a free account and purchase Downloads and DVDs directly through our TSC shopping cart. Our system uses  Amazon Web Services for fast and reliable delivery. Video files download from the AWS edge server closest to your location. This is the same system used by Netflix, Vimeo and many other major video platforms.
After your purchase, you can immediately download your videos. We offer both Quicktime (mp4/m4v) and Windows Media (wmv) files for most titles. Download the version you prefer. If in the future, you lose a file, just email support@thesailingchannetl.tv with the title and email address you used to make your purchase, and we will replace your lost file at no charge.
iPads and iPhones
Vimeo
Install the Vimeo App. As of September 2015, you cannot make a VOD purchase using the App, but any purchases you have made will show up in your “Watch Later” feed. So you can download them from their. Here’s the process…
- Make new purchases through the iPad Safari browser (or computer) at https://vimeo.com/sailflix/vod_pages
- Vimeo automatically puts your purchase into your “Watch Later” feed.
- Open the iPad Vimeo App
- Click on My Feeds and select the video
- Click on the cloud download icon in the upper right corner of the player
- The icon will turn yellow while it downloads the video
- The video is now on your iPad in the Vimeo App for offline viewing
TSC Shopping Cart
Because the iPad doesn’t have an open file storage system for you to use, you’ll need to download the video using a separate App. Alternately, you can download the file to your computer then transfer it to your iPad or iPhone via the iTunes Library. If you can make your purchase and download our videos directly to your iPad or iPhone, use a video download app from the App Store. We suggest Downloads Lite for iPad – Download Manager. You use it’s built in browser and file storage to purchase, download and store your files. It also lets you transfer  files to and from your computer.
Android Tablets and Phones
You can purchase and download our videos directly to your device. Be sure to select the MP4 version (not  WMV). Our MP4 videos will stream on any Android device and you can download them for offline viewing.
File Formats
Our digital video files are designed to play on your PC or MAC computer, either in a window or full screen. You can also watch them on digital large screen TVs using a USB Thumb Drive or Local Area Network. These files WILL NOT PLAY in a standard DVD player. And you cannot burn a DVD that contain these files. If you prefer to watch videos via a DVD player, please purchase the DVD versions  we offer.
Our Video Downloads are Green and are about half the price of a DVD, with no additional shipping and handling charges. However, video files are large, up to 1 GB or more. Visit our Download Test Page to estimate download time based on your Internet connection speed. If you have dial-up or DSL, it’s too slow. We recommend you purchase the DVD version (we provide a DVD Add to Cart button for most titles) or try our SailFlix Rentals on YouTube and Vimeo.
NOTE: File Download Managers will NOT work with our system. Download files using a web browser or one of the special apps we’ve mentioned for Apple mobile devices. We recommend the free Google Chrome web browser, which keeps you informed of download progress and gives you access to your download files in its bottom browser bar.
